Jimmy "The Mayor of Christian's Spring" Dymond, 1947-2007

James H. Dymond, 60, of Chapmans Quarry, died suddenly on Sept. 17, 2007 in Easton Hospital. He was the husband of Elaine M. (Konya) Dymond, who died April 16, 1987. Jim was born March 18, 1947 in Fountain Hill, son of the late Alton P. and Ella (Harding) Dymond. Jim worked for Essroc Cement Co., Nazareth, as a machinist for the past 36 years. He was a 1965 graduate of Nazareth Area High School. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War. Jim was a member of Nazareth Jacksonian Club and the Tatamy Fire Company. Jim will always be remembered for his wit and sarcasm, energized spirit and his willingness to help others. Survivors: He is survived by two daughters, Jennifer, wife of Christopher Micheli, of Walnutport and Dr. Elizabeth K. Dymond and her fiance, Ronald J. McGovern, of Northampton; two grandchildren, Aidan and Quinn; sister, Jane, wife of William Belkey, of Tatamy; brothers-in-law, Stanley Konya and his wife, Carol, Stephen Konya and his wife, Karen, and Thomas Konya and his fiance, Kathy Bowers Brace.; many nieces, nephews. Services: 10 a.m. Friday, Reichel Funeral Home, 220 Washington Park, Nazareth. Call 6-8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
